Level 2.5 FFS Interpolator

Improve on the API 579 Level 1 or 2 pressure capacity for local wall loss in piping and vessels. The Fitness for Service Interpolator gives you interpolated results from thousands of limit load FEA cases on locally thin areas.

ApplicationDescription
Fitness for Service - General Metal Loss (Vessel)API 579 (2016) Level 1 / 2 assessment of general metal loss in cylindrical, conical or spherical vessel.
Fitness for Service - General Metal Loss (Pipe)API 579 (2016) Level 1 / 2 assessment of general metal loss in pipe, bend or reducer (away from knuckle).
Fitness for Service - Locally Thin Area (Pipe)API 579 (2016) Level 1 assessment of local metal loss in pipe, bend or reducer (away from knuckle).
ASME III Flange CheckGives relevant dimensional and material yield data for ASME B16.5 flanges (useful for CAESAR II input ). Calculates allowable bending moments.

Desktop Software

ApplicationDescription
SaladPostprocessor software for CAESAR II. Carry out additional calculations and processing on your model input or output. Interact with Excel. Often used for Acoustic vibration calcs - lets you combine multiple sources and consider decay with distance.

CAESAR II Custom Report Templates

Use the ‘Import Custom Report Template’ button on the CAESAR II Static Output screen to bring these useful summary reports into the program. To download, right click and choose ‘Save Link As..’ or equivalent.

ReportDescription
Displacement SummaryList displacements and rotations for multiple load cases at each node in the model. Can be useful for setting boundary conditions at interfaces between calculations.
Local Restraint Load SummaryRestraint Load summary giving local loads at restraints
Flange Summary (Both methods)Flange loading check for multiple load cases at each flange. Can handle both Equivalent Pressure and ASME III methods.
Flange Summary (ASME III only)Flange loading check for multiple load cases at each flange. Set up for ASME III method. More compact.
